Day two is here! This is the day to love the draft because you toss out the "face of the franchise guys and you see what teams will do to find the 'quiet' starters.

PICK BY PICK GRADE

ROUND 2

1)    New England (from Carolina):  Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia

I'm ok with the pick. The team didn't show many traits that they wanted a corner this early, but I have been on Dowling for awhile. I got so much crap from Patriot fans about the elite pass rushers the team was a lock to take early though, and that is hanging in the back of my head. Either way, the fact that the team didn't find a way to work a trade makes this pick lame.

B-

2)  Buffalo Bills: Aaron Williams, CB/S, Texas

I just don't get it. The team has so many needs that this pick doesn't make sense.

D

3)    Cincinnati Bengals: Andy Dalton, QB, TCU

Goodbye Carson. The team gets a guy that I wouldn't touch until the 5th round, but they also don't have Jordan Palmer going forward.

B-

4)    San Francisco (from DEN): Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada

San Francisco gets the experienced guy with a lot of upside, but he isn't overly accurate. Still like him more than Alex Smith.

B

5)    Cleveland Browns: Jabaal Sheard, DE, Pittsburgh

This would be a great pick... If the Browns ran the 3-4

C-

6)    Arizona Cardinals: Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech

I like a RB, but the team gets a guy I think is the 4th or 5th in the draft, and maybe not even the best RB from VTech

C+

7)    Tennessee Titans: Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA

Ayers in the 4-3 was a 3rd or 4th round pick at best. He just doesn't have 'it' to play.

D

8)    Dallas Cowboys: Bruce Carter, OLB, UNC

Don't love the fit, but love Carter's potential going forward.

C

9)    Washington Redskins: Jarvis Jenkins, DE/DT, Clemson

A reach on a guy here or a team that can't reach.

C

10)    Houston Texans: Brooks Reed, DE/LB, Arizona

Love it. The team gets their Clay for their Cush, and a very good value.

A

11)    Minnesota Vikings: Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame

I am ok with the pick. The team didn't say "oh Bowers fell to us" and rather went with someone high on their wants. I nailed this pick in my final mocks, but I just don't love the pick.

B

12)    Detroit Lions: Titus Young, WR, Boise State

If the Lions don't draft an OLmen or a major steal from here on out the grade gets an F. For this pick, the team gets a receiver (I hinted about this but fans didn't like it) with tons of potential.

B

13)    DENVER (FROM SF): Rahim Moore, S, UCLA

No complaints here. The best pure safety in the class with the 45th pick.

A

14)    Denver Broncos (from Miami): Orlando Franklin, OT/G, Miami

He struggles in pass protection, but luckily he won't play LT. I think he is a RT going forward, but an OG at worst.

15)    St. Louis Rams: Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsin

The team upgrades at TE, but why not go receiver? Why not fix defense more? He will be a blocker more than some think,.

C

16)    Oakland Raiders: Stefen Wisniewski, OG/C, Penn State

Went family guy over a guy that helps the team instantly make the playoffs. I'm ok with it, but blah.

C+

17)    Indy (from WASH from JAX): Ben Ijalana, OT/G, Villanova

Awesome pick. The team gets more OL help and a very good value.

B+

18)    San Diego Chargers: Marcus Gilchrist, CB/S, Clemson

The team gets a versatile CB or safety here. Can't complain too much.

B

19)    Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DaQuan Bowers, DE, Clemson

Steal. As easy as that.

A+

20)    New York Giants: Marvin Austin, DT, UNC

A good pick for their 7-0-4 defense that they seem to like. haha,

A

21)    Chicago (from Wash via indy) : Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State

Good value, and didn't give too much

B

22)    Philly: Jaiquawn Jarrett, S, Temple

Terrible Pick. Maybe the 6th best safety in a crappy safety class. Terrible reach number two for the Eagles.

F

23)    Kansas City Chiefs: Rodney Hudson, OG/C, Florida State

I hate being a Raiders fan, because the Chiefs are having a great draft. Great value.

A

24)    New England Patriots (From NO): Shane Vereen, RB, California

Top notch pick. I don't know why Leshoure has been skipped, but Vereen is a MJD type of rusher.

A

25)    Detroit Lions (from SEA): Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois

This is yet another Lions F U to fans that hated me this whole offseason because I thought the team needed to find a RB. Steal of a pick here.

A+

26)    Baltimore Ravens: Torrey Smith, WR, Maryland

I think the Bears were dumb to not take a guy that goes up and after the ball like Smith, but a great guy for the Ravens.

A

27)    Cleveland Browns (From ATL): Greg Little, WR, UNC

The Browns got a guy with top-15 potential in the late 2nd. Good pick.

A

28)    Houston (from NE): Brandon Harris, CB, Miami

Harris is the 3rd best CB in the draft, and was a steal assuming it wasn't worth too much to trade.

A+

29)    San Diego (From the NY Jets): Jonas Mouton, OLB, Michigan

How good was Michigan's defense last year? There is a reason.

F

30)    Miami (FROM WASH): Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas Daniel Thomas, RB, Kansas State

Traded for a RB when need a QB. Fail

F

31)    Pittsburgh Steelers: Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida

Love it. He's a potential beast, an ok value, and a huge need filler.

A

32)    Green Bay Packers: Randall Cobb, WR, Kentucky

I don't love Cobb, but right here he is a steal.

A

ROUND 3

1) Carolina Panthers: Terrell McClain, DT, USF

Team passed on Marcell Dareus, but got a good guy here.

B

2) Cincinnati Bengals: Dontay Moch, DE, Nevada

An athletic guy, this is an ok pick. there were other guys I think that would help the team, but no complaints.

B

3) Denver Broncos: Nate Irving, MLB, NC State

A talented guy, and a fair pick

B

4) Buffalo Bills: Kelvin Sheppard, MLB, LSU

A very good MLB prospect, but not the best one available.

B

5) Arizona Cardinals: Robert Housler, TE, FAU

Ick. The 5th best receiver at best taken as 3rd TE in a bad TE class.

F

6) Kansas City (FROM CLE):  Justin Houston, DE/LB, Georgia

Complete steal.

A+

7) Dallas Cowboys: DeMarco Murray, RB, Oklahoma

A complete potential steal. Murray is athletically bound to be the best RB in the class.

A

8) New Orleans (from Wash): Martez Wilson, MLB, Illinois

Steal. Could have gone here in the 1st to the team.

A++

9) New England (from HOU): Stevan Ridley, RB, LSU

I still don't get him being a 3rd. He's less talented than 2/3 of the power rushers from LSU to come out lately.

D

10) New England (From Minn): Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas

Steal of the draft. A top-5 worth pick on the field.

A+++

11) SEA From DETroit: John Moffitt, OG, Wisconsin

Decent pick here. Don't love it for a team with many other needs, but ok pick.

C+

12) JAGS (FROM SF): Will Rackley, OG, Lehigh

Traded up for their guy, and a guy with some OT potential.

B

13) Tennessee Titans: Jurrell Casey, DT, USC

Can't complain about a defensive tackle plugged in here.

B

14) St. Louis Rams: Austin Pettis, WR, Boise State

Not Hankerson, but maybe a cleaner prospect to play with.

B

15) WASH FROM MIA: Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami

Could have gone to them in the 2nd. Steal.

A

16) San Fran (From Jax): Chris Culliver, CB, South Carolina

A reach with talent all over the place.

C-

17) Oakland: DeMarcus Van Dyke, CB, Miami

A Raider pick, but an ok one at that.

B

18) San Diego Chargers: Vincent Brown, WR, SD State

Another reach. I actually nailed this pick back in my first 3-round mock, but he fell a lot since.

C

19) New York Giants: Jerrel Jernigan, WR, Troy

I don't love Jernigan, but his value here is outstanding.

A

20) Tampa Bay Bucs: Mason Foster, OLB, Washington

Great value here.

A

21) RAVENS (FROM PHI): Jah Reid, OT, UCF

I had Reid as a VERY late value a month ago. His technique sucks, but his athleticism isn't awesome.

C

22) Kansas City Chiefs: Allen Bailey, DE, Miami

Another KC Steal.

A

23) Indianapolis Colts: Drake Nevis, DT, LSU

Great pick here. Some will say steal, but I say fair value. Fits a huge need though.

B

24) New Orleans Saints: Johnny Patrick, CB, Louisville

Ok pick. He is one of the better guys there, but I just expected another steal for the team.

B

25) San Diego Chargers (From Sea): Shareece Wright, CB, USC

Yet another reach.

D

26) EAGLES (from BAL): Curtis Marsh, CB, Utah State

I have heard a lot of love for Marsh, but I haven't seen it. Fills a huge need though.

B

27) Atlanta Falcons: Akeem Dent, SLB, Georgia

I personally didn't see a top-100 pick from Dent, but many did. I don't think it filled a great team need though.

C

28) Oakland (from New England): Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU

The Raiders now have no 2nd or 4th in 2012, but they do get a good sleeper OT here.

B

29) Chicago Bears: Chris Conte, S, Cal

Note to Bears fans. The team apparently loves having crappy receivers.

C+

30) New York Jets: Kendrick Ellis, NT, Hampton

I love this steal. Ellis could have been a great pick in the 2nd by the team. He is a TFL machine.

A

31) Pittsburgh Steelers: Curtis Brown, CB, Texas

Could have been their 2nd round pick and gotten a B grade. Here they get an A+

A+

32) Green Bay Packers: Alex Green, RB, Hawaii

Love the pick. Green has few carries, and is a nasty rusher.

A

33) Carolina Panthers (comp): Sione Fua, DT, Stanford

I don't mind the pick. Wish the team would build a bit around Newton, but we'll see how the rest of the draft goes.

TEAM PICKS AND GRADES

ARIZONA

1.5) Arizona Cardinals:Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU

Upgraded the CB core. Good to get that 12th problem done early.

2.6) Arizona Cardinals: Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech

Don't love the guy, but love the position. Helps the team a ton.

3.5) Arizona Cardinals: Robert Housler, TE, FAU

Lots of potential, but just a big reach

ATLANTA

1.6) Cleveland Browns:Julio Jones, WR, Alabama

BALTIMORE

1.27) Baltimore Ravens: Jimmy Smith, CB, Colorado

Who the hell passes. I have no idea how to even record a pass. Someone needs to be fired. The team gets the guy they wanted anyways so it doesn't matter though. Jimmy Smith is the best corner in the draft (yeah I said it) and he could be a stud.

2.26) Baltimore Ravens:Torrey Smith, WR, Maryland

Great pick here.

3.21)Philadelphia Eagles: Jah Reid, OT, UCF

Not in love with the guy. All measurables more than tape.

BUFFALO

1.3) Buffalo Bills: Marcell Dareus, DE/DT/NT, Alabama

Fixed a very big hole that they neglected last year. Still need a QB

2.2) Buffalo Bills: Aaron Williams, CB/S, Texas

Defense wins championships. But Fitzpatrick doesn't

3.4) Buffalo Bills:Kelvin Sheppard, MLB, LSU

I really like the Bills adding defense, but the team needs offense help.

CINCINNATI

1.4) Cincinnati Bengals:AJ Green, WR, Georgia

Got the best receiving prospect in years, and he fits a need. The team grade hinges on Carson Palmer, but if he returns then this was the best pick possible.

2.3) Cincinnati Bengals: Andy Dalton, QB, TCU

Adios Carson Palmer

3.2) Cincinnati Bengals: Dontay Moch, DE, Nevada

I don't love the pick because it is a little bit of a reach, but given the fact that they got so much value from the Falcons I don't mind the pick at all.

2.5) Cleveland Browns: Jabaal Sheard. DE, Pittsburgh

This is a great draft so far for a 3-4 team. For the 4-3, you have a TON of upside.

2.27) Atlanta Falcons: Greg Little, WR, UNC

Julio Jones is apparently worth Phil Taylor and Greg Little.

Smith is a pick for a RT for a team that likes guys 20 pounds heavier than him. If he plays LT then Free gets screwed and moved to RT and I really like the pick.

2.8) Dallas Cowboys: Bruce Carter, LB, UNC

I just don't love the pick. He is injured and is a 4-3 guy. But his potential is special.

3.7) Dallas Cowboys:DeMarco Murray, RB, Oklahoma

2.13)San Francisco 49ers: Rahim Moore, S, UCLA

A pretty good overall safety here. It is so hard to complain about the pick. Still hate the Miller pick though.

2.14)Denver Broncos (from Miami): Orlando Franklin, OT/G, Miami

He's a guard with some OT potential. I'm intrigued and I like him at RT.

3.3) Denver Broncos:Nate Irving, MLB, NC State

2.12) Detroit Lions: Titus Young, WR, Boise State

The receivers are stacked. Matt Stafford will love it for the 2 games that he is healthy.

The team has few giant needs, but OT is arguably one of them for the future. I again love that the team also stole a great linemen from a weak class, and I love that they may have prevented a team like the Lions from getting him.

2.32)Green Bay Packers:Randall Cobb, WR, Kentucky

KANSAS CITY

1.26) Atlanta Falcons: Jonathon Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh

T
he Chiefs got the 'skip pick' here. The Bears (likely) wanted Carimi. I love Baldwin, and if he applies himself to the team and if he likes his QB he will be the best WR from this draft class.

2.23)Kansas City Chiefs: Rodney Hudson, OG/C, Florida State

Building the interior is a great move, and a great value.

3.6) Cleveland Browns: Justin Houston, DE/LB, Georgia

NEW ENGLAND

1.17) New England Patriots (From Oak):Nate Solder, OT, Colorado

Fix possibly the biggest need, but reached on athleticism

2.1)  New England (from Carolina): Ras-I Dowling

The team is adding a great backfield tool to play with. I thought the team needed front seven guys though?

2.24)New Orleans Saints:Shane Vereen, RB, California

Love adding rushing depth in this draft here.

3.9) Houston Texans: Stevan Ridley, RB, LSU

Eh. Team needs a receiver more than a 15th rusher.

3.10) New England (From Minn): Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas

NEW ORLEANS

1.24)New Orleans Saints: Cameron Jordan, DE, California

Jordan should have gone much earlier, and is a steal. He does fit an ok need too.

1.28) New England Patriots:Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama

A disgusting pick here. The Saints get the best RB in the draft and while it hurts them for picks, they do get some amazing power here.

3.8) New Orleans (from Wash): Martez Wilson, MLB, Illinois

The third 1st round pick for the team.

NEW YORK GIANTS

1.19) New York Giants: Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska

BPA with the pick. He actually went about where he should have gone.

2.20) New York Giants: Marvin Austin, DT, UNC

A good player with zero heart from reports.

3.19) New York Giants: Jerrel Jernigan, WR, Troy

Got to love getting a good value receiver here.

OAKLAND

2.16) Oakland Raiders:Stefen Wisniewski, OG/C, Penn State

Lame. The team is taking a step back so far.

Fills a need, ok enough value, and a Raider guy.

PHILADELPHIA

1.23)Philadelphia Eagles: Danny Watkins, OG, Baylor

Watkins fills a need, but a lame need at that.

2.22)Philadelphia Eagles: Jaiquawn Jarrett, S, Temple

A major reach here. The team needed a corner or two much earlier than safety.

PITTSBURGH

1.31) Pittsburgh Steelers: Cameron Heyward, DE/DT, Ohio State

I again and again will say that the team doesn't take a CB or OT early. He fills a need and is ok value, but it seemed like a safe pick.

2.31) Pittsburgh Steelers:Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida

Hard to complain about a good value that fills a big need. Makes the Cam Heyward pick that much better.

Carpenter is a 2nd or 3rd round pick, but he does fill a big need.

3.11) Detroit Lions: John Moffitt, OG, Wisconsin

A good guy, but a bad run game and QB play might be because the RB's and QB's suck.

2.18) San Diego Chargers: Marcus Gilchrist, CB/S, Clemson

More defensive depth for a good defense.

2.29) San Diego (From the NY Jets):Jonas Mouton, DE/LB, Michigan

A 2nd rounder that should have been a 5th rounder.

3.18) San Diego Chargers: Vincent Brown, WR, SD State

Team needed a receiver, but reached again.

SAN FRANCISCO

1.7) San Francisco 49ers:Aldon Smith, DE/LB, Missouri

Smith isn't a great, proven player, and he went 10 picks too early. Does fill a need though.

2.4) Denver Broncos: Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada

A goofy QB with a goofy release from a goofy offense, but not a terrible pick

3.16) Jacksonville Jaguars: Chris Culliver, CB, South Carolina

A major reach with a lot of talent. Fits a need though.

SAINT LOUIS

1.14) St. Louis Rams: Robert Quinn, DE, UNC

I don't love it because I don't love Quinn, but the team taking a guy with amazing upside is very good. There also weren't a lot of options for them.

2.15) St. Louis Rams: Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsin

Ok pick. Doesn't really help as much as a receiver would, and not great value.

2.19) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DaQuan Bowers, DE, Clemson

Steal. The team Double Dips here, but they also get a 1st round guy.
