And The 2012 Mr. Irrelevant Is....

Posted by Mike Harman on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 In : Mike Harman
Chris Greenwood, Cornerback, Albion

Two months ago I would have pegged Chris Greenwood the guy, but not now. He has caught on because he is an athletic freak that produces, and too many teams have brought him in for him to last.

Gino Gradkowski, OG/C, Delaware

Gradkowski is another guy that could have once been the guy, but I think too many people will like his last name too much to let him last.

Shawn Loiseau, LB, Merrimack

This is my guy. There is something that I really like about Loiseau. It's...

Five 2012 Draft Sleepers

Posted by Mike Harman on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 In : Mike Harman
1) Travis Lewis, OLB, Oklahoma

I have loved Travis Lewis forever. One of my first posts on this site was actually about him. He came as a surprise into the Big 12 as a Freshman and looked like one of the most dominate players in football, but he looked just above average the rest of his career. All I know is that he has the potential to be a top-10 outside linebacker in the draft, and I love his potential.

2) Terrance Ganaway, RB, Baylor

Ganaway is a name that you probably heard a lot in college...

Five Guys That Could Break Into The First Round

Posted by Mike Harman on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 In : Mike Harman
1) Jeff Allen, OT, Illinois

Allen is one of those guys that a lot of people think could go early in the second round because of some LT potential, but very few have him in the first round. Last year the Seattle Seahawks drafted James Carpenter over one of the guys that was supposed to go in the first round, and don't be surprised to see a team grab him over Mike Adams or Jonathon Martin.

2) Vinny Curry, DE (3-4 LB), Marshall

Vinny Curry is a guy that doesn't have the sex appeal of some of the ot...

2012 NHL PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

Posted by Mike Harman on Thursday, April 12, 2012
WESTERN

1) Vancouver Canucks v 8) LA Kings

The President Cup winners match up well against a Kings team that just didn't look amazing at any point in the season. I like the Canucks in five games.

CANUCKS

2) St. Louis Blues v 7) San Jose Sharks

The Blues really might be one of the top two teams in the tournament, and it is their defensive ability to stop the puck that makes me think that they can beat these Sharks. Blues in six.

BLUES

3) Phoenix Coyotes v 6) Chicago Blackhawks

The Coyotes are technica...

NCAA BRACKETOLOGY PART 3

ELITE 8

SOUTH REGION CHAMPIONSHIP
12) VCU v 3) Baylor

Looking back to my earlier picks I will be the first person to say that VCU is a risk in every single game they play, but they play a gameplan that could put them in the spot to get here. But even if Kentucky is in this spot I think that they will lose to Baylor (or even Duke). Kentucky walked through a pretty easy SEC schedule and had a lot of close games. Sometimes I would rather take a team like Duke or Baylor that have gone through a lot ...

NCAA BRACKETOLOGY PART 2

Posted by Mike Harman on Monday, March 12, 2012 In : Mike Harman
EAST REGION

ROUND 1

1) Syracuse v 16) UNC Ashville

Syracuse

8) Kansas State v 9) Southern Miss

Southern Miss is a team that plays to the level of its competition which could make it a lethal force in the tournament, but unfortunately they drew a Kansas State team that can beat anybody. I like KSU here.

Kansas State

5) Vanderbilt v 12) Harvard

Vanderbilt AKA the team that can't beat 12's and 13's pulls another team with the potential to sneak out a win. I like Vanderbilt in this game (and the tourney)...

NCAA BRACKETOLOGY 2012 Part 1

SOUTH REGION

FIRST ROUND

1) Kentucky v 16) MSVST

I will be the first person to say that a one or two seed can lose, but I won't predict it

Kentucky

8) Iowa State v 9) UConn

I think too many people will think that the UConn name will make them a shoe in win here, but Iowa State is a 3 point shooting team that does a little bit of everything. UConn might have a little more talent, but they just seem a little bit too young to go far in the tourney.

Iowa State

5) Wichita State v 12) VCU

VCU is a team tha...

7 Possible Moves For The 2012 Draft

Posted by Mike Harman on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 In : Mike Harman
We still have a month and a half until the 2012 NFL draft, and there are already 2-million different rumors out there regarding the draft. In the spirit of the draft, I have seven of my own rumors or thoughts that very well could pay off come draft day.

1) A Team Trades For Robert Griffin

Ok, so this should be no shock since it has been news for awhile, but I think that it will work differently than expected. As I mentioned in my most recent mock update I'm not sold that the Rams are able to p...

Where Will Peyton Go?

Posted by Mike Harman on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 In : Mike Harman
News has just broken about the soon to be release of Peyton Manning from the Indianapolis Colts, and we have to wonder where he will end up. Sure everyone will tell you that the Skins and the Dolphins are the likely candidates, but I just don't trust that those two teams will be shoe-ins for the position. Today we go through all 32 teams and see which teams really have the best chances to land Peyton.

First off I think that there are four key factors to the decision:

* Money/Cap Space
* Champio...

WHY THE RAMS COULD TRADE THE 2ND OVERALL PICK

Posted by Mike Harman on Saturday, February 25, 2012 In : Mike Harman
A few days ago it was reported throughout the country that the Rams are entertaining the possibility of trading the 2nd overall pick in the draft to a team (Dolphins, Browns and Redskins are rumored) looking to gobble up Robert Griffin III. While this should come to no surprise to anyone, it is a very realistic possibility that it could happen.

First off the Rams aren't going to be taking Robert Griffin in the draft because they have too much tied to Sam Bradford despite how poor of a year he ...
